What is Fred’s List?
Fred’s List is a mobile app that keeps your packing, trips, costs, records and safety information together in one simple place, so you can plan it, pack it, remember it and travel ready.
Who is it for?
Anyone heading off on a road trip, camping, touring or a holiday. Fred’s List is designed for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, rooftop tents, tents, swags, and cabins, motels and resorts, for families, couples, solo travellers, weekenders and long-term travellers.
What does it cost?
Fred’s List will be $19.99 AUD per year at launch, including GST.
When can I get it?
Fred’s List arrives on 11 November 2026 for iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
Do I need an account?
Yes. You sign in with your email address and a password, and your lists, trips and records are saved to your account so they’re kept safe.
Can my partner or family use it too?
Add the people you travel with to your crew, then give each item on your list to the right person.
Is Fred’s List an emergency service?
No. Fred’s List can help you call 000 or 112, show your GPS location so you can read it out or copy it, reach your emergency contacts and find first-aid information from trusted sources, but it is not an emergency service and does not give medical advice. In an emergency, always call 000.
Does Fred give safety, mechanical or legal advice?
No. Fred’s List gives general information and reminders to help you prepare. It does not give medical, mechanical or legal advice, and it does not check that your vehicle, towing setup or equipment is compliant. Where it can, it points you to official sources. You stay responsible for your vehicle, equipment and travel decisions.
Does Fred’s List track my location?
No. Fred’s List doesn’t track or store where you travel. If you allow location access, it only checks your location when you tap to show it on the emergency screen, so you can read it out or copy it for emergency services.
Who can see my information?
Your information is private to your Fred’s List account. People outside your household can’t see it. Read the Privacy Policy for the details. Privacy Policy
How do I delete my account?
See the account deletion page for how to delete your account in the app, or request deletion if you no longer have the app. Account deletion
Who are Fred and Elkie?
Fred is a cheeky black crow who keeps your lists in order. Elkie is his helper, an apricot cavoodle, who gives plain-English help inside the app. In the app, Marie is the emergency and first-aid section, and Dean is the records and vehicle-information section. Both give general information only.
